POAT provides gifts to the children of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty or on active duty while serving the citizens of Miami-Dade County.

As most of you already know, this year has been a terrible one for Miami-Dade County law enforcement. We have added 11 names so far this year, and we now have 71 children in the program, representing 14 different law enforcement agencies. Holiday gifts for surviving children symbolizes the law enforcement community reaching out and remembering the children of those officers who gave their lives protecting and serving the rest of us.

It is important that these children know that their parent’s sacrifice is not forgotten.
