2007 - 2008 INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW APPLICANTS
The Paul Janosky Art Scholarship is awarded to:
- A Miami-Dade, Broward, or Monroe County high school senior or graduate,
- Who is the son or daughter of a sworn officer working for any law enforcement agency within the geographical boundaries of Miami-Dade County,
- Who is planning to or is currently majoring in visual arts, graphic arts, or computer arts at an accredited college or university or who is planning to or is currently attending an accredited art or vocational school,
- Who is a full-time student,
- And who currently maintains a 2.5 minimum grade point average.
This scholarship is awarded based on achievement in the visual, graphic, or computer arts. The scholarship varies each year depending upon available funds. This year, one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded. Prior applicants and recipients may apply for this scholarship annually.
Please submit the following items:
- Paul Janosky Art Scholarship Application
- A certified transcript of your grades
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is familiar with your artwork, preferably an art teacher/instructor.
- One letter of recommendation from a school guidance counselor (for graduating seniors)
- Representations of your artwork

All qualified applicants will be asked to participate in an oral interview. You must bring samples of your artwork to this interview. Prior to receiving the scholarship funds you must provide us with a confirmation of enrollment letter from the college, university, art school, or vocational school you are attending.
